Tour Leader

Danielle Munro

Danielle believes that travelling is an amazing opportunity to experience new cultures, explore new places, and meet incredible people. Born in Cairns (and a very proud Far North Queenslander), she lived in many places around Australia during her younger years. In her early 20s, she moved to Denmark and then to the UK. It was there that she couldn’t believe her luck in discovering that Tour Directing could be a career.

In 2004, she moved to Brunei, where her passion for Borneo began. Living there for over five years, she quickly fell in love with the people, history, flora, and especially the fauna. It soon felt like home, and it’s the place she returns to every year – and where she hopes to retire one day.

With a degree in Tourism Management and nearly 26 years of experience leading hundreds of tours around the world, Danielle now feels more at home on planes or in hotels than in her actual house. When asked why she loves her job, she says (cheesy as it may sound) that it’s not just about the destination, but also the journey—and being able to share that experience with so many wonderful, like-minded people.
