SOUTH AFRICA ON THE LUXURIOUS ROVOS RAIL AND BEYOND

Do you fancy yourself a world traveler? Do you crave a bit of the unknown and have a curiosity for experiencing lands untouched by human interaction? Then look no further than exploring the cradle of civilization, Africa, on a Rovos Rail train.

For centuries, Africa was referred to as the “Dark Continent” due to its many unknowns and untold mysteries. Today of course we know far more about Africa, but that doesn’t mean it’s less explored by the average traveler.

The World’s second largest continent is filled with some of the most illustrious and beautiful sites our planet has to offer. Of course, tackling a trip across all of Africa is nearly impossible and one could spend a lifetime there trying to take in all of its magnificence. With such a landmass most would think flying is mandatory to get everywhere, but the real way to experience is by train, on board Rovos Rail. No hassle of waiting in lines for international crossings or connecting by coach, just pure luxury. Watch as the stunning landscapes pass by from your private wood-paneled compartment.

You may be so at home on the train you won’t want to get off but we’ve got a few things that should peak your interest.

Victoria Falls

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and the World’s largest waterfall is truly something remarkable to see. The sheer power of the falls will leave you in awe and the views from the First Gorge will take your breath away.
